Black Cat - Marvel
Character: Black Cat aka Felicia Hardy
First appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #194 (1979). Felicia Hardy is the daughter of a world-renowned cat burglar. After suffering a traumatic event as a college freshman, she trained herself in various fighting styles and acrobatics [and after deciding to follow in her father's footsteps], adopted her costumed identity as the Black Cat. The first night she took on the persona of the Black Cat she tried to break her father, Walter Hardy out of prison before he died. In the process, she met Spider-Man. She was also ranked 27th in Comics Buyer's Guide's 100 Sexiest Women in Comics list.
I wanted to make this after doing Catwoman and deciding that I MUST find a way to wear that bodysuit again. The mask is made of craft foam that I shaped [on a styrofoam head] and painted [& I used fashion tape to keep it on]. This costume consists of: a black body suit with white fur collar, corset, gloves, boots, collar, and white wig. I am thrilled with this costume (it's so flattering). I pulled the costume together quite suddenly to bring on a Las Vegas vacation, and am now looking for some Spiderman characters to pal around with.
Pictures were taken in Las Vegas by Paul Stout 2013.
Worn to Big Wow ComicFest 2013. Photos by Richard Bui, and Reno Benasfre. and others. GreatWhite went as Wolverine so we could recreate the cover of "Claws". He's a fantastic Wolverine <3. Also bumped into Valerie Perez as Wonder Woman.
