Hello Kitty
Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, first designed by Yuko Shimizu. She is portrayed as a female white Japanese bobtail cat with a red bow. The character's first appearance on an item, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974 and brought to the United States in 1976. The character is a staple of the kawaii segment of Japanese popular culture.
I put this together because I didn't want to wear uncomfortable shoes all day. So, I scrapped my original costume idea, which involved heels, and went this something a little more kawaii. So cute! I'll admit it; this is a lazy day costume.
Costume consists of: a white button shirt, red skirt, suspenders, white wig, hair bow, and kitty ears.
Pictures were taken at the Spring 2014 Norcal gathering. Photos by Francous, Earl, and others.
