Lucky Charms
Lucky Charms mascot from the popular cereal invented in the 1960s.
Some years ago, I had made a regency style mens jacket, and had no place to wear it to. I even made a second one in a larger size for a friend of mine. So we had matching jackets.
and I invented a reason to wear it.
This style of men’s Georgian Era Regency jacket is from the early 1800s.
This jacket has a lot of little pieces. Pocket flaps, welts, cuffs, pleats. The sleeve itself has 5-6 pieces to it. This coat has pockets, buttons on the front, a double notched collar, 2 part cuffs, vent, lining. Coats are so much harder than dresses. And welt pockets are also annoying.
For unknown reasons, not having watched any romantic era shows lately, I got really into this style of coat. In the past I’ve made many Regency era dresses, see my Blue, purple, and green. But I never really tried to make any men’s fashion. I made it green because I own a green bonnet and wanted to make his-and-her matching outfits.
So in the end, I made these 2 matching green jackets, and a cereal box purse.
I also made the little charms for my lapel, and the tie, bought the gloves/socks, and decorated the hats.
Pictures were taken at Fanime2023. Photos by Toshi, and others.
