Twi'lek oola - Star Wars
Oola was a green Twi'lek slave dancer in Jabba the Hutt's palace in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Oola was Jabba's favorite slave girl just before the arrival of Princess Leia and her allies. Like Leia, she was leashed to Jabba's throne by a collar around her neck and forced to wear skimpy attire for her master's pleasure.
I’ve worn parts of this costume before with a trooper sundress I made. I wanted to wear the hat again, and this seemed like the most obvious character to do.
The previous green under-garment was only down to my hips (leotard shape), so I made a pair of pants to wear with it.
I’m actually really proud of the mesh fabric romper I made for this, it’s all 1 pattern piece, meaning that there’s only 1 seam on the whole garment. My spatial reasoning served me well. It was pretty easy to make, and it creates the illusion of being a scantily clad alien dancer.
The head buckle and necklace are made of foam. Everything made by me.
The hardest part was getting In and Out of this outfit. Otherwise it was fairly comfortable.
Costume consists of: green bodysuit, mesh romper, hat, collar
Pictures were taken at FanimeCon. Photos by Toshi, and others.
