Mitsuko - Archer
Mitsuko is Krieger's virtual girlfriend. The show is an animated comedy series, about a spy agency.
I’ve seen a few makeup tutorial videos online for this style. The show Archer [and Borderlands] has made the cell-shaded comic book style makeup very popular. Since I’m a big fan of face-paint, I’ll admit that I’ve wanted to do an Archer cosplay for a long time solely for this makeup opportunity. Most of the detail is done with eyeliner.
I’m the side character Mitsuko, Krieger’s hologram girlfriend. She has pink hair and wears a white bridal negligée. I tried to pull together a group, since she’s such a minor character on the show. I have a Pam.
I didn’t make this gown, I modified. By chance, I came to own an adorable vintage wedding dress, which was very snug on me, but still fit, so all I had to do was hem it up. Well actually, I cut the long skirt in half and sewed it back in. Now it’s a short 2 layer skirt.

I also made the hair flower out of craft foam. Super-fast, super easy, I didn’t even have to go to the store.
The flower bouquet is a cheap craft store purchase. The necklace is just a piece of lace. Costume consists of: a white dress, veil, hair flower, gloves, stockings, shoes, wig, necklace. Pictures were taken at Heroes and Villains 2018. Photos by Shua, AJ Velazquez, and others. |
