Thomas Kincade Brannigan - Doctor Who
The catkind aliens from Doctor Who.
I think they’re only in 2-3 episodes.
This particular outfit choice is based on a 1-time appearing character in one of my favorite episodes, Gridlock. Where people basically live stuck in traffic, in flying RVs that never reach their destinations, because their motorway system is broken. Whole generations of people were sealed underground because of a lethal drug outbreak on the surface, and subsequently trapped, never knowing that the tunnel was closed off.
I’m an aviator cat-person, like the one the Doctor encountered stuck in traffic.
- That episode really stuck with me, because I also sometimes feel like I’m living the majority of my life in endless traffic. It also gives me a weird level of anxiety thinking about that episodes’ storyline; where a bunch of the first travelers trapped in that traffic, died horrible deaths [bored, lonely, starved, stuck] because they weren’t prepared for the multi-year time commitment. It’s a real bummer.

Anyways, if you like Doctor Who, I’ve done a few other Doctor Who character: Tardis and Dalek. But this Cat-Person is one of the much lesser known characters.
I've watched all the modern Doctor Who seasons, but with a long running show like this, even the main characters eventually become side characters. The first time I attempted this makeup, I was in the middle of an allergic reaction face-puffing-incident and I was trying to hide it / make myself feel better. The makeup wasn’t that hard, so I added this to the list of possible future costumes, and then forgot about it for a year or so. It came up again when I found the vintage aviator hat. |
Jacket, scarf, hat, googles, boots.
Nothing made. The makeup is the only thing I can take credit for.
Pictures were taken by Toshi, Ninpou, and others.
