Star Trek alien Andorian
Andorian alien from Star Trek
I wanted to do this because I needed 1 more reason to wear my Star Trek uniform.
Andorian traits include: blue skin, a pair of cranial antennae, and white hair. Andorians first appeared in the 1968 Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Journey to Babel". Andorians are xenophobes, exhibiting intense dislike for, and mistrust of other races, particularly humans and Vulcans.
As you can see, I am wearing the same old Star Trek uniform that I made back in 2009 [I love that little dress & you don't mess with a good thing.] I also used the same uniform for my Orion costume. The wig and antennae are the only new additions. I made the antennae out of wire and oven-bake clay [those are the second batch of antennae, the first ones were utterly destroyed at Interstellar Drive-In]. [see video: you can totally see me spazing out in the crowd.] I painted myself blue with creme makeup [I really do enjoy body paint, but it turned out a little blotchy this time.. a little powder could have fixed that, but I was in a rush]. The props are a phaser and communicator [aka a hot-glue gun and an old cellphone].
Pictures were taken at Kelley Park, San Jose, CA. 2013. Photos by Oscar Cwajbaum, Dante Garofani, Namu Williams, Reno Benasfre, and others. I think the make-up test shot in the car is my favorite picture [it's odd, but it's just Me-being-me].
GreatWhite joined me [cause it's always more fun to cosplay in groups!]
