Born and raised in California, although I've always been meaning to leave it.
I've been crafting for years [all my life], but didn't really start doing my own thing until college. [I didn't have any money (or freedom) in high school, so there was little-to-no opportunity for me to try new things]. Going into the big city for college opened my eyes to how sheltered I was [it was alarming, and awesome].

After earning my 1st degree, I tried to become an adult and get a job. But, with very little experience on my resume, the job market was not looking good. I struggled for a time doing costume work for low budget films. But in the end, I moved home, took a desk job, and re-enrolled in another college. School gave me a much needed re-evaluation of my life priorities. After earning my 2nd degree, I found a happy balance between work and play, and crafting took over my life [and house]. I decided that since my home/life is crafting headquarters, that I should probably get a website to share all this [and here we are!].
I thought I'd stay in school forever, because I got used to always keeping incredibly busy.  But, there's so much else I want to try. So, I took some time to go play , and during that time my hobbies piled up.
My love for creation, crafts, and costumes has grown into a secret lifestyle [I'm usually very private & conservative]. During the week, I have a normal desk/office job, where I keep a low profile [I'm shy], but over the weekend I am a caped crusader of imagination [or just a nerd.. whatev. and I'm constantly seeking to burst out of my boring daily routine].
I love costumes.
For me, being a character is just about the only time that I feel like I can really  be myself. Putting on a costume allows me the opportunity to be a person that I'm usually to shy to be. "BE yourself. BE anyone you want to be."
The years have been good to me, and allowed me many opportunities to use my skills. Now I work at several local theaters on the weekends.
