Renaissance Pirate Wench
Renaissance faire stuff.
I made the whole outfit myself; all from scratch; corset, blouse, over skirt and under skirt.
See the Workshop page, there's a new section for Grommets.
Not a whole lot of thought went into making this particular outfit. It's very simple. Black and red. No trims, or decorative beadwork.
I basically just default into making renaissance era garb whenever I have time. I know I'll always have a place to wear a renaissance outfit, and they'll never go totally out of style.
The shirt and skirt are loose fitting. They're nearly rectangular when you lay them flat.
The corset is usually the most time consuming part. This one is made of an ultra-suede fabric, which feels like leather. It has silver grommets down the front and back, and has some flappy-foldy details across the chest.
The Renaissance era is 14th to the 17th century in Europe. Think of Shakespeare, or Queen Elizabeth, or Sir Isaac Newton, Michelangelo, ect.
I've done a few other Renaissance costumes: see my Lady. Or my Fantasy gown. Or my Pirate.
Pictures were taken at the Renaissance faire. spanned over several years. the outfit changed slightly every year.
