Beetlejuice style
ALSO see my my 1800s bathing suit, historical beach dress. It's the same outfit with a more historical hairstyle and a better explanation of historical fashion.
if you like historical, see my : Renaissance Lady, Regency Blue, Edwardian Black, Victorian Lady, Steampunk Green, Edwardian walking skirt.
The Beetlejuice film (1988) was a Tim Burton film about an obnoxious 'bio-exorcist' scaring away new inhabitants from a house. It was a successful film, and from it came an animated series, and a stage musical & I think a sequel is in the works.
If you love Tim Burton, ALSO see my : Lydia, Edward Scissorhands, Jack Skellington, and Sally.
I made this outfit from a dropped-waist boxy 90s style palazzo Capri romper. I added a little overskirt to raise the waist line, and then turned the pants into bloomers, and then shortened the sleeves.
I originally wore it to be inspired by Sweeney Todd, and then restyled the hair/makeup for a Beetlejuice look. Purple and green makeup, and a wig. The wig was a platinum blonde cheap mullet looking thing, that I sprayed with green.
